Leaving the catamaran at the end of the cruise was a bit of a struggle as the crew had to moor alongside two other catamarans, which meant walking over a total of three vessels to reach the dock.

Talking of the sunsine, we were impressed that the crew did constantly remind everyone to use plenty of sunscreen (there were quite a few very fair-skinned people onboard, including ourselves) as we were exposed to the sun without much cover for several hours over the hottest part of the day. It was a truly wonderful day - very relaxing, beautiful sunshine. They served a lovely lunch, even barbequing chicken and fish for us all. Such a pity we couldn’t actually take part in the swimming or snorkelling – apparently the others saw a huge number of turtles and lots of different kinds of fish. We had a great time and loved the day on the cruise. We did it, though, and it was great! The crew were great at helping us old fogeys get onto the catamaran, which wasn’t easy for us. It was a day of adventure, although rather challenging with Mr Batty’s injured leg (as described in our Trip Report on TA's Barbados Forum) and my troublesome legs and wheelchair. We enjoyed this lunch cruise on Sunday, 18 March – it was arranged for us by our Virgin Rep once we’d arrived in Barbados.
